Welcome to my new little corner of Blogland!
I am a crafter at heart but have always been afraid of sewing.
(Don't ask me why, I do not know)
I come from a family of women who sew beautifully and remember my Mom and Grandmother making the most amazing things on their old Singer sewing machines. I would just watch in awe and wonder how in the world they created such wonderful things. You know how??? They BEGAN!!! Every professional in every field had to start as a beginner. So, that being said, this is my beginning.
I dabbled in sewing in my early twenties by trying cross stitch.
That lasted a whole twenty minutes. Lol!
Last year I broke my ankle and had to do A LOT of sitting with my foot propped up. Hmmmmm...maybe I should try that cross stitch thing again. There is only so much TV a person can take! I think my age (not telling) and patience level helped me appreciate the process and I enjoyed it much more. I found it very therapeutic.
I did my research first of course. I watched quite a few videos to reintroduce myself to a needle and thread. I was inspired by so many fellow crafty women and set out to find a pattern that spoke to me.
I chose a pattern by Tralala called Jolie Sorciere.
I couldn't pass up this cute little witch.
I can't wait to see what you create! 😁
